To preserve the existing community of farmers and to make their farming all the more scientific and rational.
To groom a new generation of technically qualified farmers using the services and resources of existing farmers.
To find answers to agronomic questions in the collective experiences of farming community.
To promote farmers’ experimentation and research.
To promote farmer to farmer extension and marketing.
To promote processing, value addition and entrepreneurship.
To serve as an effective interface between formal knowledge/research system and farmers.

നിലവിലുള്ള കർഷക സമൂഹത്തെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുകയും അവരുടെ കൃഷി കൂടുതൽ ശാസ്ത്രീയവും യുക്തിസഹവുമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക.
നിലവിലുള്ള കർഷകരുടെ സേവനങ്ങളും വിഭവങ്ങളും ഉപയോഗിച്ച് സാങ്കേതിക യോഗ്യതയുള്ള ഒരു പുതിയ തലമുറയെ വളർത്തുക.
കർഷക സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ കൂട്ടായ അനുഭവങ്ങളിൽ കാർഷിക ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉത്തരം കണ്ടെത്തുക.
കർഷകരുടെ പരീക്ഷണവും ഗവേഷണവും പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുക.
കർഷകരിൽ നിന്നും കർഷകരിലേക്ക് വിഞ്ജാന വ്യാപനം പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുക.
പ്രോസസ്സിംഗ്, മൂല്യവർദ്ധനവ്, സംരംഭകത്വം, വിപണനം എന്നിവ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുക
ഔപചാരിക അറിവ് / ഗവേഷണ സംവിധാനവും കൃഷിക്കാരും തമ്മിലുള്ള ഫലപ്രദമായ ഇന്റർഫേസായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുക
